Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. Further he is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Laucian was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Personality: The man has a huge range of feeling. He will range from being happy and joking with the occasional self put down to crying stating how he will be a better person from this day on. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: He was born at the edge of vast plains. Like his mother and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Dilettante. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Dilettante for the past few years.

Personality: While she acts the brute, she is far gentler than she would appear. She also is a firm believer in the womanly ideal.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. At a young age her mother died while driving off some giants. Her father being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train her in hammer use. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Someone believes her a fraud; and she wants revenge against giants

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. In his 14th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
