His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 8 years.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Lia has worked very hard to control her curse. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.
