Description: An older man who wears a tattered pair of loose blue pants, a matching torn shirt, and a visible pair of similar condition same color briefs, he is not a threatening figure. He wears a Stetson hat to cover his moderate length silver hair. His eyes are amber and he is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He has all his life been fascinated with singing.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered singing. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by orcs. Varis was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the orcs.
