Through the years after Thodris was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Thodris's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Engraver for hire.

During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned.
