He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. Recently the stress of being a Merchant has made it difficult for him to sleep.

The family's rival house kidnapped her sister with the intent that her sister marry their son to gain control of contested properties. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.
