History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Thorin fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: A child with a great deal of music talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered west to less war torn lands. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Mayor they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Locksmith, and he later adopted a second son.

Personality: She will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken her opponents. Despite her formidable combat skills she remains a coward. She does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He worked as a nervous Spice Merchant and found it very stressful. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he has decided he is irredeemable
