The family never returned to the plains due to the painful memories there. Nora took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up lance and armor she uses now. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.
