Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Mortician they were divorced and she won custody of their son. She worked as a Soapmaker, and she later adopted a second son.

When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Slave Trader hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor.
