He conceals his crossbow with his veritable burlap sack of a shirt. His hair, while still mostly golden, has prominent grey streaks. His amber eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He is a bit of a macho man and will challenge people to random contests of strength and skill, and invite them to random hunting and fishing trip.

History: Hubert was raised in a hard working conservative environment. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He became a Soapmaker soon after.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by dire rats. Valanthe was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

Motivation: An old rival family wants her found; and she wants revenge against dire rats
