Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm mother. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Her family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her father's willingness to do anything to win. After months of barely getting by, Lavinia managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, she made her way to the capital under a new identity.
