Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Dain embodies much of what other species detest in the Dwarves. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. He has worked as a Hunter like his mother before him.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Hunter responsibilities is difficult; and he possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and she is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs

Personality: She is a melancholic, but persistent worker. She resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. She misses her home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. Jaxi was born on a far southern desert where she grew up under the tutelage of her father, an expert Beggar. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

Motivation: She feels kind of lost in life; and she is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out

Personality: She is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. She plays an instrument quite well.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Shepherd. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: She is wracked by social anxiety; and balancing her hectic life and new shepherd responsibilities is difficult
