He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: When he was but 5 years old his parents immigrated from the west. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Half-Elves in the west were limited. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
