History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Half-Orcs in Volen's homeland. Volen decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: He is highly sensitive about his name. He loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Therai was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. After a long history of fighting, Therai and his spouse have recently divorced.

Description: A man with a cold, calculating air about him, he is well dressed, but even with his fine clothing he looks run-down. He keeps his golden hair in a pixie cut. His face is covered beneath a completely black helmet.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He is harsh and unforgiving.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage
