History: She was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Surina grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Surina. She now mingles about in high society.

History: The child of a Fortune-teller, who enjoyed hunting, Margery was taken on many hunting expeditions. Her father took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: Retire the richest woman in the south; and obtaining odd cultural halfling artifacts is her passion
