To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Burgell. Being a Butcher kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: A powerful brothel owner made her what she is. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. She was an apprentice working in her father's forge. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.
