History: Direcris lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His father was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Crown-heir and was forced into it by his family.

History: He was born at the edge of vast desert. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and obtaining odd cultural gnomish artifacts is his passion

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. Like his mother and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Scribe. He struck the Scribe job and began his own company from there.

Personality: Ella is depressed about a lot of things. She tends to be a nihilist. Ella enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for her love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Ella was born the youngest of three triplets. She found a children's book about a Half-Elf Expert who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure. She picked a direction and started trekking.

Motivation: Someone believes her a fraud; and regain custody of her daughter
