Description: This late middle aged man wears tight fighting clothing, which leaves very little to the imagination and is in decent physical shape. His silver hair is kept up in a ponytail inside a deerstalker hat. He wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.

Personality: Akmen is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: Akmen lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Akmen fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: He is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world; and nothing but the best is good enough for him

Personality: She is irascible and easily irritated. She spends most of her days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There she gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Elven conditions. After a long history of fighting, Sariel and her spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: To reunite with her old friends; and she wants to meet her childhood hero

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
