His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. The war was a terrible time for him, and Flak does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift.
