History: He was born at the edge of vast plains. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Born in the south to a Bookbinder, Vonbin learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills.
