History: Born in the north his family was never financially stable. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. John was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. A gifted student she started as a Miner, but she got bored and became a Detective. She tends to her Detective job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Detective responsibilities is difficult; and retire the richest woman in the west
