Description: A thin man, he clearly needs to put on some weight, but he still has a lot of muscle. He wears a worn and beaten armor. His chestnut hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. His hazel eyes dart from person to person to random spaces in the air.

Personality: Varis hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his poetry career. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

Personality: She is mildly Halfling supremacist, though she does not identify as such. Animals are drawn to her, and she is able to talk to them.

History: Her arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. While she appears to be a normal Halfling, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. Since then, she has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: To reunite with her old friends; and obtaining odd cultural halfling artifacts is her passion

History: Orryn was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Personality: He seems absolutely devoid of it. He stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. He works hard and plays hard.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Fabien alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.
