History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Personality: He is a very happy person and has lots of energy. To put it simply, he's a very lovable idiot. He disdains his fellow northerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: Born to a Unemployed, his mother struggled to pay the bills. He moved out west to avoid the crime he committed. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

He walks with a slouch but will stand straight to his full 5'1" when asserting himself. He has styled his silver hair well, parting it to the right. His gray unseeing eyes seem to look past you.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the east. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, dire rats burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the east, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying east to reunite his family. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: Ella speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. She is clearly well-traveled and educated. Ella enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for her love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. Her mother was very strict, and drilled into her lessons on being the perfect lady. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: Nothing but the best is good enough for her.
