History: When she was but 3 years old her parents immigrated from the south. Through the years after Symma was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Symma's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She has never given up on her painting dream.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. A freak accident while working with his Bounty Hunter mother left him crippled. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. He is used to getting what he wants. In part because he is a meticulous planner.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help; and seeks redemption

Personality: This woman loves music and to teach people music more than just about anything. She is always in debt, since she spends her money on lavish parties and gifts for friends

History: She comes from a rich southern family. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Chaedi grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Chaedi. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help; and a rival would like her out of the picture
