History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. Quarethon was born on a far western mountains where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Ruler. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
