History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Barakas was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his father's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered giants who tried to eat his hand. After a long history of fighting, Barakas and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Many giants want him driven away; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it

He had to support his now crippled father and took his father's old job. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Guard they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Priest, and he later adopted a second son.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. The occasional robbery is his preferred attention getting crime, but he mainly uses his means for meeting his own perverse desires.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He always admired necromantic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: He has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day.

Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Tervaround grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Tervaround. After months of barely getting by, Tervaround managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, she made her way to the capital under a new identity.
