History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Jarsali grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Jarsali. She now owns her own business.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His arcane abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He always admired martial-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He was granted martial powers by his dying sister.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs
