History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. Cagak was born on a far northern plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Butcher. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Personality: She does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. She is cautious and jumpy. She reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Urshar grew up listening to her father's many stories. In her 15th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her father impaled in their home, and her mother beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Personality: He hates brigands. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: He got into the Tanner business at a young age. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it; and he has money and likes to spend it
