History: She was born into a rich family. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Verin grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Verin. Recently she has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Baker arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. She has had some formal dancing training, and achieved minor success. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.
