History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: She was raised in a forest tribe. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Apothecary work with an outfit from a few towns over. Apothecary work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls.
