Makaria decided she wanted neither the life of her father nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Through the years after Maynild was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Maynild's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.
