History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Arannis was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the illithids.

Personality: While she acts the brute, she is far gentler than she would appear. She misses her home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: Born to a Junk Dealer, her father struggled to pay the bills. In her 16th year, her parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Burana alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He is mildly Half-Elf supremacist, though he does not identify as such. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: Conrad hails from a village terrorized by giants. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it; and he wants revenge against giants

Personality: She is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of her strength. She works very hard to maintain that gentleness. Her actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as she answers to a power that mortal women fail to acknowledge.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: She is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs; and her religion dominates her actions
