History: Helja was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Helja and her spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: She is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before her hampering stammer kicks in. She has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Her first spouse was a Miller, they had one daughter, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions.

His chestnut hair is drawn into a tight pony tail with a rose scrunchie. He has a dull look in his violet eyes.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. Rolf enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He got into the Knight business at a young age. Rolf was born on a far northern plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Knight. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

His spectacle hidden eyes are a deep green.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. Any perceived weakness will be pressed and exploited. He is seen as merciless and passionate.

History: He was born into a rich family. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: He is a bit of a kleptomaniac; and balancing his hectic life and new scribe responsibilities is difficult
