History: He was raised in a island tribe. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Apothecary arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. In her 14th year, her parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Nella alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted.
