History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. History: Birel hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. Recently she has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. After coming to the age of reason, Naeris took it upon himself to study the arcane arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
