History: Hlin was born the youngest of three triplets. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Bather they were divorced and she won custody of their son. She worked as a Body Guard, and she later adopted a second son.

Upon awakening, Joan discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Joan fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing her own horrible transformation.
