History: Duergath was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Monk, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Monk in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Dwarves in the west were limited. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: She comes from a rich eastern family. At a young age her father died while driving off some gnolls. Her mother being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train her in glaive use. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: She is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out; and someone believes her a fraud
