It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help

Description: He wears a brown wide-brimmed hat and brown clothes. His attire stands in sharp contrast to his sword, which is beautifully polished and possesses an ornate carving of a butterfly on it. His golden hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. His violet eyes lackadaisically let the world flow into them.

Personality: He is fixated on the number 41. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his singing with anyone who is interested.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His first spouse was a Beggar, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and seeks redemption

Personality: She is extraordinarily passive and rarely speaks, let alone speaks her mind. She moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep her interest for a month it is impressive.

History: She comes from a rich northern family. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
