History: Artin was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Commoner, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Commoner in service of a powerful lord somewhere. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Artin grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Artin. Being a Shepherd kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: He was born at the edge of vast island. Trey was born on a far western island where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Glassblower. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. Some 10 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Gargax never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.
