History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a ruined castle. He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Ratlûg took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up bastard sword and armor he uses now. After a long history of fighting, Ratlûg and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Kali hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. Like her father and her sister before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Ruler. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Scribe arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Mardnab was a troubled youth. She spent her days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent her evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Mardnab decided she wanted neither the life of her mother nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.
