History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: Regain custody of his son; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He married young, but lost his spouse to dire rats. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
