History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In her 16th year, her parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Nikki alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

History: She was born in the north, but her parents moved at a very young age to the west. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Tieflings in Verin's homeland. Verin decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Verin fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
