Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. He loves teas. He is very sensitive about his face. To blow off anger he lifts weights and to control his otherwise explosive temper he works out a lot.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Hunter. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: She is a melancholic, but persistent worker. She resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. She constantly seizes attention wherever she goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. She likes to think of herself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Miller but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: He was born in a small desert village. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. He has achieved small success as a Miller.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and to be a shepherd again

Personality: She is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. She is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. She likes to tell stories.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. Like her mother and her brother before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Healer. She struck the Healer job and began her own company from there.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Healer responsibilities is difficult; and she is wracked by social anxiety
