Personality: She speaks before she thinks and is too direct. She refers to her adoptive mother for almost all things she is unsure about, which are numerous. She is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Her mother worked until she suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. She had to support her now crippled mother and took her mother's old job. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister.

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: Mordai lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero; and he's looking for his big break

Personality: She believes there is no problem she cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. She has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a daughter. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature longsword.

Motivation: Many dire rats want her driven away; and wishes to resurrect an old love

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: To unite with his sister; and marry his sister to traveling adventurers
