After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and she desires to right it

Personality: She likes to brag about her accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. She is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Gnomes.

History: When she was but 5 years old her parents immigrated from the west. Ostracized due to the martial powers of her oldest brother, she and her siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Gnomes became a terror of the countryside. She left for the west, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Halfling people.

He carries with him a set of spears on his belt, each one with a emerald on the hilt. He wears a Stetson hat to hide his balding. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: Drifting is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He loves being with his children and actually smiles when they are around. He would do anything for them. He dislikes his ex a great deal.

History: Drifting lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Drifting fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Barber hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Retire the richest woman in the west; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever
