History: Emerald was born the youngest of three triplets. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. Being a Shipwright kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: Medrash was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Medrash grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Medrash. He has worked as a Carpenter like his father before him.
