History: Tawar lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A gifted student she started as a Gardener, but she got bored and became a Guard. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Lavinia was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered music. She has never given up on her music dream.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and she is content

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Borun isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Halfling unity. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: He doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes; and his religion dominates his actions

Personality: He is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. His temper goes off on the smallest of things. He tends to lash out at those around him.

History: He was born in the north. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Pandjed grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Pandjed. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: He is greedy; and he will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. if successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact
