History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Mugrunden was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Gnomish companion (his 'brother'). He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

Personality: She seems absolutely devoid of it. She stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. She does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: She is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. She is a bit of a macho woman and will challenge people to random contests of strength and skill, and invite them to random hunting and fishing trip.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered writing. She has never given up on her writing dream.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and she wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Description: This woman wears clothing that is held on in multiple layers but all of it is in poor condition. She is muscular with a powerful set of arms. Her chestnut hair is smooth and relatively long. Her gray eyes lackadaisically let the world flow into them.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, she has a hard time making friends. She works hard and plays hard.

History: She was born in the south. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Gnomes in the south were limited. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: She's repulsed by the PC; and she is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out
