History: When she was but 8 years old her parents immigrated from the east. When Astaro reached her early adolescence her Tiefling father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a son. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Description: The light-skinned woman stands 2'11" and wears a weathered and beat up set of banded mail beneath an oversized red coat. Her chestnut hair is drawn into a tight pony tail with a clover scrunchie. Her amber eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: She believes there is no problem she cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. She is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Merla was born on a far western mountains where she grew up under the tutelage of her father, an expert Fisher. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind.
