History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Tethren grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Tethren. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

History: A powerful necromancer made him what he is. His martial abilities were realized during a raid on his village. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Paelias was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the giants.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it; and a deep hatred of giants
