Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She became a Guard soon after.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Like his father and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Fortune-teller. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Fortune-teller for hire.

Personality: She snorts whenever she laughs or is feeling confident. She works hard and plays hard.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Hugolina grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Hugolina. Recently she has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

She has a penchant for wearing a ring with an oversized ruby on her left hand. She has done her best to style her brown hair to look like a famous performer. She has a tattooed face.

Personality: She tends to agree with only herself unless someone else's opinion sounds like she can profit from it. She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. She cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: Grigi lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the desert to a summer home near a ruined castle. She would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the desert due to the painful memories there. Grigi took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up greatsword and armor she uses now. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage.
